Role:   Director of Learning & Development

Location: Remote US-Based

Essential Functions:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute a strategic vision for learning and development and identify and address organizational learning needs that align with the company's mission, values, and business objectives.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of a robust learning and development framework that supports talent management and succession planning.

Program Design and Delivery:

  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective learning programs for all levels of the organization, including leadership development, technical training, resources, and soft skills enhancement.
  • Create specialized sales training programs to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement for the sales team.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including e-learning, instructor-led training, blended learning, and on-the-job training.

Sales Training Focus:

  • Partner with the sales leadership team to identify training needs and develop programs that enhance sales performance and productivity.
  • Ensure sales training programs are aligned with the latest industry trends, compliance requirements, and product developments.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales training initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

Enterprise Learning Initiatives:

  • Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide learning initiatives such as onboarding, compliance training, and professional development.
  • Promote a culture of learning through initiatives that encourage knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation. Ensure all learning programs are inclusive and accessible to a diverse work force

Measurement and Evaluation:

  • Develop and implement metrics and evaluation processes to assess the impact and effectiveness of learning and development programs.
  • Analyze data and feedback to continuously improve learning strategies and outcomes.
  • Report on learning and development progress to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and develop a high-performing learning and development team as the company grows.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and career progression.

Collaboration with Marketing, Talent Development, and Medical Affairs:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure alignment of training content with marketing strategies and messaging.
  • Coordinate training efforts with the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team to integrate scientific knowledge and insights into sales training programs.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure the talent development needs of the organization are achieved.

Field Team Training Needs Assessment:

  • Conduct comprehensive field training needs assessments, encompassing new hire training, ongoing and advanced training, product launches, and other identified training opportunities and methodologies.
  • Proactively identify and assess knowledge gaps within the Commercial organization and collaborate with the training team and other departments to develop targeted solutions.

Project Integration:

  • Work closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) to incorporate project updates and relevant information into training materials and sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Education, Science, Biology, Learning Development, or Communications
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in learning and development with a focus on both enterprise and sales training within the biopharma industry.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering successful learning programs that drive organizational performance.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve learning outcomes.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  

The U.S. target annual salary range for this remote, full-time, position is currently set at $228,000-$240,000. The actual base salary offered for this role will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, market factors, experience and considering internal equity. In addition, to the base salary, CG Oncology offers a very attractive set of Total Rewards (including bonus and equity) and Well-Being Benefits provided as part of the overall compensation package for this role.
