Role:   Director of Strategy & Business Development

Location: Remote US-Based

Essential Functions:

Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

Strategy:

  • Lead the company's strategic planning cycle, ensuring alignment with the long-term vision and business objectives.
  • Shape the analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats that could impact the business.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic priorities and translate them into actionable and measurable business initiatives.
  • Drive strategic projects from conception to execution, ensuring they deliver value and meet the set objectives.
  • Foster innovation within the organization by promoting a culture of continuous improvement and strategic thinking.
  • Monitor the performance of strategic initiatives, providing regular reports to the executive team and adjusting plans as necessary.


Business Development & Alliance Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners.
  • Collaborate across the business to understand the competitive landscape and identify transactable opportunities to enhance our product and/or services portfolio.
  • Ensure alignment of partnership activities with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to execute partnership agreements and deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of partnership activities, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Facilitate communication between partners and internal teams to ensure clear understanding of expectations and commitments.
  • Lead the negotiation of terms and conditions for new partnerships and the renewal of existing agreements.
  • Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, conducting due diligence and recommending strategic fit.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, advanced degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in strategy, business development, or alliance management, specifically in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, with a collaborative and results-driven approach.

The U.S. target annual salary range for this remote, full-time, position is currently set at $205,000 - $225,000. The actual base salary offered for this role will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, market factors, experience and considering internal equity. In addition, to the base salary, CG Oncology offers a very attractive set of Total Rewards (including bonus and equity) and Well-Being Benefits provided as part of the overall compensation package for this role.
